Bill Belichick

Belichick started his coaching career in cleveland were fans were disgruntled with his win/loss turnout. He came into the team and they had a 3-13 record the year before but the fans didn't understand that it would take time to build up the franchise. Bill then took a job with the New England Patriots were he became a top notch coach. He has won 3 superbowls and countless championships. He drafted a quarterback in the 6th round who has become a clear pick for a future hall of famer, Tom Brady, and has molded his offense to best use his weapons and to exploit the other team's weaknesses. There is an affect on assistant coaches who try to leave Bill and coach elsewhere. Here are the Results:

Eric Mangini- Coached: Jets- Record : 23-26

Josh McDaniels - Coached: Broncos- Record: 11-22, Also got rid of Jay Cutler, Brandon Marshall, and Peyton Hillis

Romeo Crennel- Coached: Browns- Record: 24-40

Jim Schwarz- Coached: Lions - Record: 4-24

Do you believe in curses?

Is this real?

Should teams stop getting their coaches from Bill's staff?

Is he one of the best coaches of all time?

Soccer in the US

Soccer in the United States really haas never been as big as say baseball or football but it has its fans. More or less the fans do not watch MLS soccer, or the soccer we have here in the states, they would prefere to watch the soccer played in europe. While in europe they refere to what we know as soccer as football. They have a premiere league with the top players from all over europe playing and this is more entertaining for soccer fans. Still soccer gets its biggest audience base in the US during the World Cup. The World Cup took place last summer, it is a tournament with the best 32 countries get entered into this month long tournament. they have a round robin where they play each team in there pool then the top two teams from each pool make the 16 finalists and the tournament turns into single elimination. The US was doing well this year and got alot of support from the soccer fans and non soccer fans. It brought these people to watch because they were watching their country compete. The US tried to get the next World Cup to be hosted in America so that more people would become fans and that the soccer association would make alot of money. Instead the next world cup will be held in Russia.

Did you watch the World Cup?

Should the US try to be like pther countries and have soccer as a dominating sport?

Would you go see a World Cup match if it was hosted here in the states?

Do you think Landon Donovan is a household name like Michael Phelps has become after competing for his country?

Rex Ryan Press Conference

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gWp633PetBE

Rex Ryan Too Much Talk?

Rex Ryan took over as Jets Head Coach two years ago and was always a outgoing guy. In press conferences with players regarding his coaching they would say how laid back and fun he is while still getting the job done. This year the Jets acquired many veteran free agents and has made their defenses full of big name player like Derell Revis and Antonio Rodgers Cromartie. The Jets on paper were the best team going into this season. Rex Ryan was talking about how they are going to be in the Super Bowl before the season even started. The Jets lost their season opener to Baltimore and looked like Ryan was wrong. But they bounced back to a 8-2 record before facing the Patriots last Monday night. This game was for sole posessionms of first place in the AFC East. Rex Ryan was again running his mouth about the game saying how it was clear who was going to win. After the game was over the final score was the Patriots 45 the Jets 3. In my personal opinion Rex Ryan should not talk so much before a game like that. The Jets have not beaten a team that is over .500 at this point in the season. How do you feel about Rex?

This is one of James Harrison's fined hits. This is a late hit and a penalty. Should he be fined for it though?

Is Football Getting Soft?

Over the last couple of years the NFL has implemented many penalties and fines in an attempt to lower injuries and make the game better. We see football as being an extremely physical sport and that is why we love it. the old classics played at Lambeau field in the freezing cold just tough football played at its best. But recently the NFL has started fining players with hits on ball carriers when leading with their helmets. While for the most part this is an excellent rule and will prevent many injuries, the league may be going over board fining players for legal hits that just cause the other play pain. For instance Steelers linebacker James Harrison has been fined over $250,000 this season for a couple of hits some of which could have been questionable.

Do you agree with this new rule?

Do you think the league is fining people excessively?

If defensive players are fined for legal "hard hits" do you think the game won't be as physical?

James Harrison is only making a little less than one million this year. Do you think it is right to take a third of his salary away for playing the game hard?

Tiger Woods

Tiger Woods has been a household name since he began dominating the sport of golf. Tiger has received millions in sponsor from top brands like Wheaties and Nike. Just two years ago he was named top athlete of the decade along with the most grossing athlete of all time. He has been an icon of perfection because he waswinning almost every tournament he played and because he never did anything to tarnish his reputation. Normally when people with little money growing up they let the money go to their head and do things they wouldn't do. This was not what Tiger was about which is part of the reason he was always near the top of every list about greatest athletes.

All this changed when just last year he was caught cheating on his wife. It wasn't only one woman, many others came out to admit it after the first woman came out. His wife, a swimsuit model, divorced Woods after realizing he has been running around for years. Tiger took some time off to try and patch up his personal life. During this time  he lost most of his sponsors and for the first time people had something to criticize Tiger for.

When he finally came back to golf, he was not the same Tiger. He did not win a single tournament, he had his worst finish in over ten years, he only had five top finishes the lowest ever for Tiger. He showed his frustration with everything on the course by throwing a club here or ther, some profanity, and just some facial gestures. Do you think we should feel bad for Tiger?

Do you feel like he has gotten too many things taken away from him?

Will he ever be as great as he was both in the sport of golf and as a role model?

Do you feel like athletes get paid too much? That the money corrupts the individual?

What are the first three things you would do if you got two million dollars?

Interview of Mr. Nyitray on Blake Griffin

Have you seen a Blake Griffin play?
Yeah the kids got some raw talent.

What can you say about his talent? His power?
He's a beast!

Do you think he can keep this going throughout the rest of the season?
I think he is in pretty good shape. He is young and should be ready to go.

Do you think it would be better watching him play live?
I think everything is better live because you can feed off of the energy of the crowd. It makes the game more exciting.

Which other athlete would you compare Blake Griffin to?
Charles Barkley becuase he was a boss in the paint.

Blake Griffin's Raw Power

Blake Griffin is a risinng star in the NBA and is striking fear into the hearts of his opponents. He plays the game of basketball with great passion and astonishing power. Derek Anderson - Exploding during Post Game Press Conferece

Interview of Al Etter:

Do you think Anderson should have been more into the game?
I feel that when youre down 25 points in the 4th quarter, how into the game can you really still be? I think that this wasn't a case of not being into the game, but just needing stress relief from an absolute beatdown.

Do you feel like he could have handled the press conference differently?

Yes, he definately could have handled it better. All he needed to say was, yeah, I laughed, sometimes you have to to keep from crying in that situation, or something to that effect, and it would have been squashed, and then if the reporter continued to heckle him, then go off. At least then it would have been justified.

How would you have handled the conference?

Exactly how I said above.
